IBC 2024 has been a blast! The AdPlayer.Pro team attended the event and are happy to share their takeaways from it.

The annual IBC trade show in Amsterdam has always been a huge event, bringing together thousands of businesses in the broadcasting and streaming industries from all around the world in one place to discuss the current and future trends in media technologies.

Well, this year, the IBC conference & expo hasn’t become an exception to the rule. During the four days of the event, the 14 halls of the RAI Exhibition and Convention Centre became the melting pot of meetings and discussions among the world’s leading broadcasting operators, content owners and tech enthusiasts on how the streaming market is developing and what will drive its evolution in the months and years ahead.

The AdPlayer.Pro team has attended IBC 2024, too, and now that it’s over, are excited to share some of the takeaways from the event.

  • Driven by AI innovations, FAST services continue dominating the market

In many ways fueled by the AI-powered enhancements in data analysis, operational efficiency and streamlined dynamic ad insertion capabilities, the global dominance of FAST is likely to continue, with more improvements in the media accessibility and personalized content and advertising experiences coming in the near future.

  • Sustainability remains an ongoing concern

While massive effort is being invested in the continuous upgrade of the cross-platform content delivery tech, aimed at ensuring the smooth broadcasting of media across all screens with minimum latency, most industry experts pinpoint the importance of designing solutions to increase the sustainability and energy efficiency in the niche, e.g. by optimizing its consumption across delivery systems. And here’s where the innovation will be happening in the upcoming months.

The AdPlayer.Pro would like to say a big Thank You to the IBC 2024 organizers and everyone we had an opportunity to meet at the event this year! It’s been our pleasure!
